千里迢迢到斯國

縱處文化古蹟美

若無名言顯彼義

依然是霧裡看花

敬愛的雷克斯先生、夫人：

自斯里蘭卡返國已逾月餘，不知近況若何？承兄等協助，團項參訪善行圓滿，各員更是法喜充滿，念念不忘。

獅子國是個獨特的國家，很多遊客嚮往它自然之美，以之比作精神慰藉所，暫離塵囂；然而，我等卻是受到它悠悠佛教承傳和佛祖足跡聖地的感召而來。大部分的斯國子民都是虔誠的佛教徒，日常生活皆受佛法的指引，雖然經濟不富裕，他們都是踴躍供養三寶的佛弟子，歷經天災地變的苦難，他們仍時時刻刻心存希望，對異國友人仍以微笑相迎。

在斯國參訪的寶貴經驗，並非求之即可成就，我們竟然有幸能參見佛舍利、受高僧的祝禱、供養僧寶、參訪孤兒院與民眾接觸等，都是極其殊勝的因緣，他處是求之不得的。

參訪的團員對斯國事物實在難忘，實難忘懷那曙光初露，在晨曦中被鳥兒喚起的愉悅；實難忘懷那被生物圍繞所興起的喜悅，它彰顯著斯國的護生傳統；實難忘懷那在中國象徵福報，倒掛樹梢上蝙蝠的模樣；實難忘懷那繞塔念佛，法喜充滿的時刻；更不能忘懷在斯國與兄同行善法，非您之助，參訪之行又焉能如此圓滿！沒有您的處處引薦，在貴國所作法行，要圓滿順利，是障礙重重的。

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Perera :

How are things going? Thank you for your assistance throughout our Sri Lankan visit. A month has now past since we returned from Sri Lanka, we still find ourselves full of divine happiness inspired by all the practices during the pilgrimage.

Sri Lanka is such a special country, many visitors were attracted by its natural beauty and found it a temporary spiritual resort. But we were overpowered by its oldest religious history of Buddhism and sacred sites. A majority of the Sri Lankan population is devoted Buddhist believers, they follow the example of Buddha in their daily life, though not economically affluent, they are great donors and dedicated worshippers. Though they have gone through all the pains caused by natural disasters, they never forgot to have hope and welcome strangers like us with their friendly smiles.

Sri Lanka have given us more than we asked for, and the precious experiences of paying homage to the relics of Buddha, receiving blessings from High Priests, offering to monks, visiting orphanage, meeting the general populace and etc. These were all wonderful things we could not attain elsewhere.

Most of the members of this trip, We couldn't forget the joy of morning glory when had woken up by the sweet whistling birds, We couldn't forget the joy of being surrounded by wildlife which signified Sri Lanka a animal-loving nation, We couldn't forget the joy of seeing bats hang on trees which were considered blessings in Chinese tradition, We couldn't forget the joy of reciting sutras while pacing around stupas; and We could not forget the joy of doing all the good deeds with your companionship whose efforts had made the trip a perfect one. Without your guidance, the kind of faith and testimony we got from Sri Lanka would not be the same.

In addition, we would like to express our sincere appreciation of your helps and wish you all success.
